About this consultation
This website is the public consultation on Wain Homes' proposals for around 80 new homes and new public green space at Brookfield Road, Churchdown. It sets out what is proposed, explains how the plans have been developed, and gives local people a straightforward way to comment.
The consultation opened on 26 October 2026 and the initial response deadline is Sunday 8 November 2026. The website will remain available after that date, and further comments will continue to be welcomed.
What you will find here
The site covers the proposals in full: the number and mix of homes, the affordable housing, the new public green space and the space created for wildlife, how people would travel to and from the new neighbourhood, and how the layout responds to existing homes, trees, the railway and flood risk.
It also answers the questions residents have raised most often, explains how feedback is used, and sets out the stages that follow this consultation. No planning application has been submitted, and Wain Homes expects to submit one in November 2026.
Who this website is for
It is for everyone with an interest in this part of Churchdown: people who live nearby, local businesses, community groups and local representatives. The consultation is open to all, with no need to register or sign in, and the information is written to be read on any device.
The feedback form is the main way to comment. You can also email the project team or call the freephone helpline if you would rather give your comments another way, and a printed copy of the project information can be sent on request.
Who is behind the proposals
Wain Homes is a family-run house builder with over 50 years' experience in the development industry and a track record of delivering homes in Gloucestershire, most recently in Dursley.
Wain Homes is bringing forward these proposals and would build the homes itself; any planning permission would not be sold on. The consultation is being run by the project team on Wain Homes' behalf, and every response is read by that team.
What happens to your feedback
Comments are reviewed by the project team and, where possible, used to shape the emerging proposals before any planning application is finalised. A summary of the consultation and Wain Homes' response will be included in a Statement of Community Involvement submitted with any planning application.
